French Press

We believe the best way to brew your coffee is using a french press. Though at first it might be a little intimidating we think you will get the most out of your brew using this method.

The first thing you'll want to do is grind your coffee using the medium coarse grind setting. Fill your french press with approximately 2.5oz (8 tablespoons) of fresh Waterfront coffee and begin to boil your filtered or bottled spring water. Once your water has come to a boil remove it from the heat, let it settle and then pour a small amount over your grinds to just soak them. Stir to make sure they are all wet. Then after a brief moment pour the rest of your water into the press while stirring till it comes just to the bottom of the pour spout. Too much water will cause it to come out when you press the plunger. Place the plunger on the press and gently press it down till you get a bit of resistance. Allow the coffee to steep for 4 minutes. Once you've hit 4 minutes carefully press the plunger to the bottom. To keep the coffee from over-brewing remove it from the french press and place it in an air pot or drink it immediately.
